Why I choose to serve on the PLA BoardAs a member of the first class to complete the Physicians Leadership Academy I felt like I would bring a unique perspective to the PLA Board. I learned many new skills during my year in the program including meditation, how to connect with patients and techniques to decrease burnout. As a board member I have the opportunity to utilize the skills I have learned as well as the chance to help shape the future curriculum and improve the experience that future classes have.
